For the tenth consecutive year the Poole Unit provided marshalling cover for the Safety Exclusion Zone at the Bournemouth Air Festival. Avocet, St Elin and Ocean Adventure patrolled the zone which extends one kilometre out from the shore and covers over two kilometres between Bournemouth and Boscombe piers. The safety zone has been extended following the recent incident at Shoreham Air Festival and all of the vessels were kept busy making sure no one strayed into the zone and disrupted the flying displays.
