Avocet
Avocet is an ex-customs launch, having spent her working career with HM Revenue & Customs. In that role she had a varied role policing our waterways and pursuing those in breach of the law.
However, by the end of her useful life with HMRC, she needed a new home. As she is highly suited to the needs of the Maritime Volunteer Service, she was initially loaned to MVS Poole by HMRC and fully donated in 2002.

Trevora
We bought this RIB (rigid inflatable boat) in February 2011 as an unfinished project. As it needed a complete refurbishment, we took advantage of the skills we had amongst our unit members to carry out the refit, which took around six months.
As we strive to teach new members the skills they need for RYA Level 2 and as a safety boat, we are finding Trevora a very useful vessel.

Vasco
As Poole Harbour is a favourite for jet ski users, it only makes sense that MVS Poole also gives members the opportunity to try driving these unique craft.
Vasco is our own PWC (Personal Water Craft) used by Poole MVS. It has been used extensively for at least six of our members gaining their RYA & Personal Water Craft, licence with more learning to ride her.
All operators are RYA PWC qualified and experienced harbour coxes.
