A crew of MVS Poole volunteers recently collected litter on an evening exercise in Poole Harbour.
Whilst participating in the annual Summer Challenge, Team 3 onboard MVS Avocet noticed several pieces of litter in the water, including a discarded oil drum. After recovering the drum, it was found to still contain oil.
Marine litter is a serious problem in Poole Harbour, and is a real threat to wildlife. MVS Poole increasingly conducts litter patrols, as recently shown on ITV News.
