MVS Poole workhorse Avocet received a dose of tender loving care on the 6th December after being lifted out of the water for the first time in a year. The lifting operation was carried on Thursday morning at Saltern’s Marina under the watchful eye of Avocet‘s boatswain, Martin Hale.
Once in the air Avocet was given a thorough wash down with a high pressure jet hose and old anodes on her hull replaced. The lift was also a good opportunity for a general inspection of the hull, propellers and rudders.
Avocet is due for a comprehensive refit in 2019.
