MVS Poole are now a registered RYA shorebased Training School, and as a charity, we are able to offer shore based courses at a very discounted price to our members. However, there is no obligation to sign up for the RYA part of our training, and all our courses without certification are free as normal, and there is always something to learn from someone. We usually run training sessions over a 4 week period, then members can choose another topic to learn about.

- This Month, we are running RYA Diesel Engine, RYA Essential Seamanship and Astro Navigation courses,
- Starting in Feb/March, we are running RYA Essential Seamanship, RYA First Aid and Boat Electrics.
We have a number of training locations in and around Poole, we have 2 portacabins in the Port of Poole, and use of a large training room in the Port of Poole called the 'ERC'. In addition, we use the Power Boat Training Uk's training room's at Cobbs Quay Marina (many thanks to Paul Galtzel for letting us use this great facitlity), and also get together at people's homes, or on the boats as required.
MVS members can sign up to a wide range of courses, both RYA and non RYA. There is always something to learn, and we have a wealth of experience and knowledge within our membership.
